Young Audiences of Maryland

Young Audiences, the nation's largest education network, began in Baltimore in 1950.

The local Maryland affiliate is dedicated to enriching the lives and education of Maryland youth through culturally diverse arts programs within the schools.

It envisions a Maryland where the arts are valued for their capacity to transform lives, and where every student is immersed in opportunities to imagine, create and realize [his or her] full potential through the arts.

Young Audiences partners with professional artists from across disciplines and with schools throughout the Maryland area to bring hands-on arts learning experiences into the classroom.

The Deutsch Foundation is a proud supporter of the Teaching Artist Institute, which prepares professional artists to work effectively in public-school settings, and the Access for All initiative in Baltimore City Public Schools, which provides art-related programming to high-need schools that have limited resources, in order to supplement and cultivate the curriculum.
