Masters of Social Design at MICA: Deutsch Fellows

The Robert W. Deutsch Foundation Social Design Fellowship provides two MA in Social Design graduates each year with a stipend, resources, and studio accommodations within MICA’s Center for Social Design for an additional year to continue their thesis research, implementation, and evaluation.

Launched in 2012 with support from the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation, the fellowships provides a stipend, institutional resources, and studio accommodations for an additional year, keeping innovative ideas and talent in Baltimore and demonstrating the value of design in the social sector.

MASD integrates design practice with civic engagement in Baltimore. The program prepares students to grow their skills, examine the designer's role and responsibility in society, and bring about social change through design.
